Deliver above & Beyond Service :

Be a hero!. Superb service doesn't take much more effort than lousy service: it's simply an attitude adjustment.

Never settle for less than the best. Your work is a direct reflection of you. Make it shine!

Search for models of great service. Look around your organization and find the people who are stars at work. Study them-learn what makes them tick. See if you can do what they do.

Encourage others to follow your example. Your refusal to compromise your standards of quality and service will motivate others to do the same.

Your Career and Your Life

What is the difference between workers who get ahead in their careers and those who get left behind? In a word: initiative. For example, some employees make a point of seeking out opportunities to learn new things, while others are content with the status quo. some are quick to jump on problems and turn them into opportunities; others avoid tackling challenges. Some have ideas and a plan to implement them, which they put into action; others prefer to be told what to do. As a result, some employees advance very quickly in their career, while others seem to be stuck where they are, moving very slowly or not at all.

Today's most effective employees take charge of their lives and their careers by developing plans for learning and growing in their jobs. They decide where they want to go, and then they plan how to get there. Instead of just dreaming about their plans, they take the initiative to put them into action. By doing so, these employees unleash a very powerful force that can propel them forward in their careers and personal lives by opening up an entirely new world of options.

Ultimately, life is nothing more than one long series of choices. Each choice you make takes you closer to meeting your goals or pushes you farther away from them. You can choose to either take charge of your life or let your life and circumstances take charge of you. By taking initiative, you put yourself firmly in the driver's seat, and you can bet that you'll prosper as a result.
